BLoT Underwear was born from a simple but powerful observation: women were losing confidence, opportunities, and dignity because of leaks. For more than a decade, Dr. Pheyaga served as a medical doctor in mining communities across South Africa. Working closely with women in these demanding environments, she saw first‑hand the challenges they faced—not only heavy menstrual flow and severe period pains, but also the silent anxiety of staining their clothes while at work.
Month after month, women requested extra days off, not because they were unwell, but because they feared leaking. Dr. Pheyaga understood this deeply, not just as a doctor but as a woman herself. She shared the same fear every month, and she saw young girls in schools living with the same worry. That is where BLoT began—with a real problem affecting millions of women and girls.
Determined to provide a dignified, sustainable, and practical solution, Dr. Pheyaga developed BLoT Underwear: reusable, leak‑proof panties designed to support women with confidence. Engineered to be leak‑proof for 8–12 hours depending on flow, odour‑free, breathable, and sustainable for years, BLoT quickly became more than just a menstrual product.
